Nivea Lip Butter Review

Hello, lovelies~ My lips are not extra dry, but I'm always on the lookout for new lip butters or lip balms. There's nothing more irritating than dry lips that flakes and leads to bloody lips. Well, I guess that only happens to me, lol.

The lip butter comes packaged in a round tin can that measures around 5 cm and sealed with plastic all around it. There is 16.7 grams of buttery goodness inside the well illustrated tin can. It comes with four variations in Indonesia, I heard there is a coconut flavor somewhere out there, lol. There is the Original, Cocoa, Vanilla & Macadamia, and Raspberry Rose variant.

Shea butter, castor seed oil, sweet almond oil, and cocoa butter helps to moisturize the lips along with the glycerin and mineral oil. I didn't find any parabens in the cocoa butter variant, but it uses BHT in place of preservatives.

These things are hard to open, especially when my fingers are slippery and my nails are short. I'm even thinking of melting it and reshaping it into a stick, lol. Once opened, each has a different color, but all of them goes on clear.

I feel that the Original variant is the thickest out of the bunch, whereas the rest has the same texture, with different scents. My favorite is the cocoa, followed by the raspberry rose, original, then the vanilla & macadamia. If you're a fan of sweet scents, I think you'll like Raspberry Rose. If you're easily nauseated (like me) and prefer to have neutral scents, go with either cocoa or original. As for vanilla & macadamia, it has a nutty scent in the tin, but disappears when I apply it on my lips.

Overall, these are affordable options for those who suffers from dry lips. It doesn't take much space in my makeup bag, making it extremely travel friendly. I do hate opening these as my nails are short, so I have to budge them with strength, lol.

How about you? Have you tried these lip butters from Nivea? Let me know in the comments below if you have or planning to. Thanks for reading and until then, I'll see you later~

Kikki K Textured Personal Planner Medium Ocean Review

Hello, lovelies~ Boy, am I excited to share this review with you. I have been waiting for this planner to reach my hands safely and now it's here! I didn't review it immediately (of course) as I have a habit of trying out things to really understand the product before sharing my thoughts with you. Hence, the long time before each post, lol.

The planner I am reviewing in this post comes from the infamous Kikki K named Ocean. The colour does depict the shade of the ocean, sort of, with the hint of green in the blue shade. There is a gold foil Kikki K logo on the back of the planner.

What gets me to buy the planner is the addition of the gold foil dots on that beautiful blue textured Saffiano leather. I know the gold foil is going to fade overtime, but hey, I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

There was another version before this one came out. It had a strap closure that is similar with the current teal color . I am not a fan of strap closures, so I didn't get that one. Luckily, Kikki K decided to make a snap closure version of this lovely textured leather.

Unfortunately, the pockets were a huge miss for my preference. I  liked the old Kikki K pockets because I can store more things in it. This planner only has one slit for pocket and another for notepads.

It does have a zipper on the side with a pocket behind it,. As much as I love the pocket behind the zipper, it's just a bit inconvenient going back and forth to get things from there. However, I do love the zipper compartment on the front. It feels safe knowing that my stuff won't get scattered in my bag when I travel with this planner.

The rings on this or any Kikki K planner is (probably) the largest  compared to others, but don't quote me on that. Not only is it huge, it is also gold. I'm not usually into large rings, but I fell in love with the shade so much that it doesn't bother me as much. Thankfully, the rings were in perfect condition being tight without any gaps whatsoever.

The inside lining is from the same leather, but without the gold dots. There is a slot on the back for bigger notepads. On the side is a pen loop that is elastic, so my chunky pens (I'm looking at you, Unistyle Fit) can fit there easily.

Kikki K Ocean is a personal planner, so there is quite a lot of note paper along with an undated monthly calendar. I get three sheets of stickers that is useful for personalizing the tabs because sometimes I just don't feel like making dividers. I didn't do an unboxing for Ocean, but the Perforated Peach has the same inserts, you can see the video here.

It lays flat within a day or two out of the box, you know, not much training needed. Maybe because I have loads of paper inside, so it naturally 'trains' itself within that time period.

I'm not sure if it has to do with the size of the large rings, but sometimes the paper catches on it, making page flipping not as smooth. Another thing that kinda bothers me is the necessity of tucking the back pages before completely closing the planner. Should I forgot about it, it would fold the back pages.

I have tried using a thick scrapbook paper 160 gsm that has been laminated, hoping to solve this problem. Yet, it doesn't. Maybe I should try laminating a 220 gsm paper to put back there. #braindump. Or maybe it's because of the slightly oval shape of the rings that makes the back paper caught when it's folden. #thinkingoutloud

Overall, I enjoy using this planner for personal and blogging because it fits a lot of stuff inside. The paper does catch on the rings sometimes, but nothing to fuss about for me. The beautiful shade of blue is always a pleasure to see. The Saffiano leather is durable so far because I've scratched it a couple of times and it didn't leave a mark.

Do you have this planner or any intentions of buying it? Let me know in the comments below what your thoughts are about it. Also, if you have a solution for the back paper, do let me know. Thanks for reading and until then, I'll see you later~

Colourpop Lippie Stix Brink Review and Swatch

Hello, lovelies~ I have been missing yet again on my own blog, haven't I? Apologies. I have to tend to an important matter regarding university and such. No matter, I'm back (ish)! I'll start by reviewing another one of my daily lipstick from Colourpop. I have reviewed other shades right here, if you wish to read those, as well.

Just like the others this came in a box that matches the white color theme as the lipstick. In this case, lippie stix. This was an old purchase, dating back to months ago, but I just remembered that I haven't made a post about it.

The shade name is Brink described as a warm dusty taupe on their website. For someone like me who doesn't know colours as much, it is a reddish brown lipstick color that nearly matches my lip color, lol. It's always hard for me to find this type of shade as it can (sometimes) be too brown for me. Not the case with Brink, though.

This lippie stix is categorized in the 'Matte' family, so it doesn't give a shiny or glossy finish. If I were to wear it sans lip balm, it would look like my lips after a session of exfoliation. The lippie stix is opaque and gives out the color with just a swipe. It applies creamy on my lips and dries to a matte finish. Despite it being a matte lipstick, it doesn't make my lips dry like the Sahara desert.

Overall, I enjoyed using this as my everyday, go-to lipstick as it doesn't catch too much attention from the crowd. It does come with a slight downfall (fox this) as it is not readily available in stores. It is only available in online stores if you're living in Indonesia.

Have you tried any of the Colourpop Lippie Stix? I hear they're coming up with new products now, I'm intrigued to try them. Let me know what you think about them in the comments below. Thanks for reading and until then, I'll see you later~

L.A Girl Creme Lip Color Shade Rendezvouz Review

Hello, lovelies~ After disappearing from my own blog for a few weeks, I'm back (kind of) with another review. This lipstick may not be the newest one in the market right now, but it is new to me.

I bought this lipstick at TWL cosmetics for around Rp 85,000. I just looked over to their website and they're currently 50% off. I think I'm gonna snatch a couple of them. The brand new lipstick comes sealed in plastic. I opened mine a long time ago, hence the absence of a plastic seal./

The lipstick case is black on the bottom half equipped with a transparent cap on the top half. The brand label is printed on the sides of the black case in a metalic purple shade. It is quite sturdy since it has fallen from my clumsy hands and survived to tell the tale. Or maybe the physics is just right at that time, lol.

I bought the shade Rendezvouz, a reddish-brown shade with a hint of purple in it. I heard that it was a dupe for the shade 1995 from Gerald Cosmetics, but it wasn't. At least, not to my eyes.

The lipstick applies smoothly and doesn't feel drying on my lips. Also, I don't need to swipe the lipstick back and forth to get an opaque shade. It stays on like most lipsticks and will disappear after a greasy meal. It does transfer and has a creamy finish, giving my lips a slight sheen.

It gives me a more polished appearance, suitable for everyday use. The creaminess of the lipstick is comfortable to wear, even if I have to reapply it throughout the day. I don't mind. How about you? Have you tried this lipstick before? Let me know in the comments what you think about it. Thanks for reading and until then, I'll see you later~
