Yes. *answers herself*

How about gelato made with liquid nitrogen?

Uhm.. *starts to doubt herself*

Ice cream with liquid nitrogen may very well be one of the first ice cream store concept in Jakarta that can be found on the 5th floor of Grand Indonesia shopping mall. Ron's Laboratory is anything but your average ice cream store since they serve make their ice cream right after your order.

Private Media Gathering of The Launch of Revitalash Advanced Indonesia

Thursday, February 27, 2014

Hello, lovelies~ Anyone of you had lashes that are just short, sparse and grows straight down?

*raises hand* I was blessed with a set of lashes that are short and straight *sad face*

It was so short and straight that I once thought of having eyelash extensions to solve my problems. However, I read online about the pros and cons that I decided to look for other solutions before resolving to that.

Luckily, I received an email from Revita Lash Indonesia about their media gathering regarding their latest eyelash serum. Did I go? Of course la~

Z Palette Review

Monday, February 24, 2014

“Disclosure: This product was sent to me for review purposes in exchange for my honest opinion after trying it out.” Complete disclosure here

Hello, lovelies~ Have you ever travelled and was just overwhelmed by the amount of makeup you have to bring in your bag? I went out of town a couple of times for seminars and have to bring these items:
1. Blush
2. Correctors
3. Single eyeshadow

I don't carry a lot of eyeshadows, but I know my friend who brings her palettes everywhere she goes for travel. That usually bulks up her makeup bag, making it look huge and takes up space. The picture above is the must-bring-makeup-items when I'm travelling.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if I can take out the product and carry them in one place? It takes up space with the bulky packagings.

Solution? Two words

Z Palette

Have you ever heard of of it? It looks like the picture above and it comes in different sizes. Mine is the small size with a zebra pattern. Thanks to Awanawan.com for sending the Z-palette, check out the website here. (more detail below)

It has a magnetic closure that seals in the product securely when used during travels. It also came with magnetic stickers to help the product stick to the palette.

Oh, what products, you ask? It can range from concealers, corrector, eyeshadow, you name it! I use mine to store my correctors and concealers all in one place.

Removing the concealer from their containers is easy. All I did was place it on my straightening iron for 30 seconds or so to loosen the glue. After that, I poke the edges carefully with a thin stick, I used the edge of a cutter. Once it's removed, I stick the magnetic sticker on the back of the pan and place it inside my Z palette.

Once I depotted all of my stuff, I feel so~ relieved. See the difference of what I would usually bring instead of what I can bring now? I only need to bring one palette for my makeup needs.

This is also a life saver when I'm at home getting ready to go out because all I have to do is just open this palette to get ready. I don't need to open my corrector and then my concealer back and forth. Really simplifies my life!

It's all here!
To sum up, I like that:
♥ the palette has a variety of sizes, from small to large that even a makeup brush can fit inside! Check out the sizes here.
♥ the pattern is cute~
♥ the magnetic closure is strong, making it secure when placed inside a makeup bag
♥ the Z palette came with magnetic stickers, so I can use it immediately
♥ the cardboard material is surprisingly durable
♥ it organizes my makeup and simplifies it for travel
♥ the clear lid makes it easier to see the contents

However, I was kinda wondering if:
- it will get wet if I clean it with alcohol spray? I don't have the heart to do it ^_^;;

Review KATE Powderless Liquid for Cover

Thursday, February 20, 2014

“Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money. I am neither affiliated with this company nor am I being paid to write this post. My opinions are honest and my own.” Complete disclosure here

Hello, lovelies~ If you follow me on instagram, you would probably already seen this product since I did posted it a couple of weeks ago. I have been eyeing the brand KATE for the longest time, but have never gotten to try them out for I-don't-even-know-what-the-reason-is.

Have you ever heard of Kanebo? Yeah, it's the big company from Japan that owns a couple other brands like Lunasol, COFFRET D’OR, and SENSAI. Well, KATE is one of the brands from KANEBO, too! It is catered for trendy women with urban styles back when they first launched in 1997.

I was very interested with the foundation, so I decided to get the Powderless Liquid for Cover in the shade OC-D. No, I'm not OCD, in case you're asking. ^_^

Review GEO MIMI Cafe Series Macchiato

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

“Disclosure: This product was sent to me for review purposes in exchange for my honest opinion after trying it out.” Complete disclosure here

Hello, lovelies~ Even though I wear glasses daily, I like to wear contacts on days when I feel up to it. My eyes are quite sensitive, so I can't really wear contacts for long periods of time. However, when I do get a chance to use them, I usually choose contacts that helps to make my eyes brighter and slightly larger.

A few weeks ago, MySoftlens sent me a set of circle lens to try out from the GEO MIMI Cafe series. This has been on my contacts wishlist for the longest time because of the cute names and patterns.
Credits

See? I told you they're cute! They're named after food and beverages that are usually found in cafes.

I got the one in Macchiato (not because of the name!) because the pattern looks interesting. Okay, I admit, it was partly because of the name, lol. Not entirely, though!

The contacts came in glas bottles that are sealed tightly with labeled stickers on the sides. To watch out for fakes, be sure to look at the authenticity sticker on the label. To make sure they're not fake, check for the code number only at geo.fw1860.com.

WMM-504 or Macchiato is a chocolate brown lens with a caramel brown inner ring that is decorated with specks of dark brown. It's an interesting pattern, especially with the curves on the inside. Does it remind you of a cup of macchiato with caramel drizzled on top?
Credits

In case you've forgotten how a caramel macchiato look like. ^_^

After removing the contacts from the glass packaging, I placed it in the free lens case that was also sent from MySoftlens. Always remember to wash your hands before touching your contacts, ya~

The color of the contacts turned out to be slightly similar with my eye color, so it kinda blends together. The difference is the 15 cm diameter that turns my eye larger, which I love. Notice the brown outer ring that gives my eyes a more natural look compared to a black outer ring that tends to look harsh.
Left - No circle lens; Right - With GEO MIMI Cafe Series Macchiato

Putting both on my eyes felt comfortable than other contacts that I've tried. Sometimes when you use a low quality lens, it feels like there is a foreign object in my eye that keeps poking every time I blink. However, this is not the case with this lens.

In brighter lighting, you can see the pattern of the contacts, but nothing too dramatic that it attracts the attention of the whole room. As the picture above where my whole face is apparent to the whole world, you can see the subtle caramel brown curves on my left eye.

Another thing that I like from this lens is its ability to follow my eye movements without lagging, lol. Hmm, how should I say this? When I look to the right, the lens will immediately follow without being left behind for a second. I don't know how else I can explain it. ^_^

In a badly lit room or poor lighting, the contacts tend to look darker than it should be. I reckon using it at night time will result in this effect, but I don't mind because it still makes my eyes look big. I tried to recreate it in this photo, so it's more or less like this. ^_^;;

On my eyes, the contacts starts to feel a bit dry on the third hour, but a drop of contacts solution can solve that problem.

To sum up, I like that :
- it has a secure packaging.
- it has an authenticity sticker to help customers know which ones are fake contacts.
- it gives enlargement to my eyes without looking out of place.
- the patterns gives my eyes an interesting look.
- the outer ring is brown in color, making it look a little natural.
- it wears for 12 months.

However, I feel that it would be better if:
- it has a cylinder option. I can't use this for long because I get dizzy when my cylinder is not corrected.

You can get the GEO MIMI Cafe Series Macchiato at MySoftlens.com here. They carry most of the popular brand of contacts with an affordable price. So, let me know if you've tried this and what your thoughts are about it. Until then, I'll see you later~

P.S: Excuse my-still-slightly-red left eye. It was like that when I woke up. XP

Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX Review

Monday, February 17, 2014

“Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money. I am neither affiliated with this company nor am I being paid to write this post. My opinions are honest and my own.” Complete disclosure here

Hello, lovelies~  I remember back when I first started blogging in 2010, Laneige was one of the Korean beauty brands that I was introduced to.
The two products that I wanted to try back then in 2010

I looked up reviews and was planning on buying it, but I sorta hesitated because my skin weren't as good as it is now. Until finally, three years after that (today), I bought them.

I bought the miniature sleeping pack to try out the best known product from Laneige because I didn't wanna end up with a big jar of regret sleeping pack that doesn't work on me. The miniature set came with a refiner (toner), an emulsion, an essence, and the sleeping pack.

This is not a sleeping pack.

Review Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk

Saturday, February 15, 2014

“Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money. I am neither affiliated with this company nor am I being paid to write this post. My opinions are honest and my own.” Complete disclosure here

Hello, lovelies~ Dry, flaky, chapped lips are the majority of problems when using a lip product that is just too drying that it sucks out the moisture from the lips. That is why I usually prefer tinted lip balms or sheer lipsticks as it is more comfortable on my lips.

DOAPJ How-To: Nama Choco

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Hello, lovelies~ Valentine is in the air! Ya, dikit lagi sih, masih tinggal beberapa hari lagi.

  1. 200 gram cokelat batang compound/couverture, potong kecil-kecil ( aku pake merk Tulip)
  2. 100 ml whipping cream (yang masih dalam bentuk cair. Jangan yang udah jadi)
  3. Bubuk kakao yang unsweetened secukupnya

Review Innisfree Serum CC Cream Cover

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

“Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money. I am neither affiliated with this company nor am I being paid to write this post. My opinions are honest and my own.” Complete disclosure here

Hello, lovelies~ A couple of days ago, I woke up with an internal hordeolum on my left eye, thus the lack of reviews. It needs to be properly cleansed and maintained, so I didn't use any makeup for a few days. Now that it's all better, I can do reviews again, yeaay~ ^_^

Won't show you the picture of the hordeolum, but you can always google it, you know. ^_^

Okay, to start the review, I'll go with the Innisfree CC cream. Now, Innisfree is a Korean brand that is famous for their ingredient that is 'harvested' over at Jeju island. I used their Green Tea serum and BB cream once, but it didn't do much wonders to my skin, so I skipped reviewing it, lol.

DOAPJ How To: Exfoliate Them Lips

Friday, February 07, 2014

Hello, lovelies~ No reviews for today, but I do have a beauty tip that I often do to keep my lips smooth and soft, without any of those flaky, drying unattractive bits. All you need are three items that can be found in your home. Simple, right?

To make it easier for my Indonesian readers who don't have access to google translate, I will write the instruction in Indonesian on the picture. Yes, I'm feeling generous today, lol.

Okay, first step is to gather the items that we need to keep those lips of ours soft and smooth. All you need is a petrolatum/petroleum based lip balm, a towel, and warm water. The lip balm will help soften any flaky bits on your lips and I find it easier to use a petroleum based lip balm rather than those with shea/cocoa butter.

Innisfree Mini Tint Lipstick Best Collection Review

Monday, February 03, 2014

“Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money. I am neither affiliated with this company nor am I being paid to write this post. My opinions are honest and my own.” Complete disclosure here

Hello, lovelies~ I hope everyone is doing their best throughout the first month of 2014. I had my ups and downs, but most of the time it was a good moment, so I'm very thankful for that. Hopefully, the rain will ease a bit and the sun will come out more. We miss you, Mr. Sun.

Anyway, I want to review a lip tint from Innisfree that came out for their Christmas collection last year. I rarely buy these limited edition products, but if they are cute enough (packaging-wise), then I'll buy them. In this case, they fit in the specifications for my purchase.

The lip tints came in a box with a picture of Santa Claus and a red color scheme. Yup. That is enough reason for me to buy it. It's made of a thin cardboard material that is quite sturdy and taped on the bottom. I really like the decoration on the box.

Hello, lovelies~ Having medium long hair has been a dream of mine and I'm on my way upon achieving it. Probably because I have been having short hair for nearly my entire life, medium long hair looks enticing. However, I notice that it really gets in the way, especially when I'm eating.

When the weather is hot, my hair needs to be tied back, but I keep losing those rubber hair ties. You know, the black, unattractive ones that hurts your hair when you take it off. Plus, it usually breaks after two uses on me.
