Hello, lovelies~ Last Saturday, I was invited to the launch of Bio-Oil, which has been an internet cult product for the past few years. Bloggers of all walks of life has sung praises to this magical cure for skin problems, one of them being stretch marks. Excited and all spruced up, I headed to The XXI Lounge at Plaza Senayan where the event took place.
When I got there, there were a couple other bloggers that were already there. I snapped a few pictures before comfortably sharing a table with Sheilla, Raden, Suu and Yuri. As usual, we took selfies right before the event. Suu was sitting at the far left, so I couldn't take a selfie with her. Oh well, maybe next time. :)
Since it was lunch time, there were food and beverages prepared for the guests. I already ate, so I just waited patiently for the talk show to start. Okay, I lied. I ate chocolate mousse and bugged Sheilla about it, lol.
Not long after I finished that scrumptious chocolate dessert, the show started with a brief introduction from Ms. Tiara Dwijayanti Lestari, the corporate spokesperson. With the growing demands for a product to treat problematic skin, Bio-Oil has expanded to Indonesia in the hopes of helping those troubled skin individuals and promoting their 'Hello, Happy Skin!' campaign.
The next speaker in the talk show is dr. Novita Sari Mujahid, SpAk., a specialist in medical acupuncture, who stressed the importance of providing enough nourishment for our skin in order to heal itself properly. Even if there are stretch marks, immediate treatment is necessary to prevent it from worsening. You know the saying, prevention is better than cure.
I am familiar with Bio-Oil, but I haven't used it myself, so I listened intently on Ms. Nurhayatini, the product manager of PT Radiant Sentral Nutrindo. "As it is categorized as dry oil, it sinks into the skin fast, leaving no greasy residue behind, unlike conventional oils," she explained.
One of the active ingredient inside Bio-Oil is called PurCellin Oil, which is the miracle behind this product. I haven't heard about this, so I'll have to do more reading on this and update you in future blog posts. It also has other essential oils like lavender, calendula, rosemary, and chamomile to further soften, smooths, soothes, and brightens the skin. Or so it claims.
After a session of dance, testimonials from loyal Bio-Oil users, and games, the talk show came to an end. However, Bio-Oil are still having roadshow talkshow and exhibition in selected malls all over Jakarta, Surabaya and Bandung from October to December 2014.
Their vision is to be the first product of choice to treat scars and stretch marks in Indonesia, they are spreading information to the general public to start a healthy lifestyle and treating problematic skin through their "Hello, Happy Skin!" campaign.
