10 All Time Beauty Favorites

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

Hello, lovelies~ as you may (or may not) have noticed, I rarely do monthly beauty favorites nowadays. Reason behind that is the lack new products I tried. I mean, I still try new things, but they don't quite make it to be included in my monthly favorites.

That is why today I want to post my ultimate beauty favorites that I have repurchased  twice or more. These vary from skincare, makeup to hair care, both drugstore and high end. There's a little bit of everything in this post.

I don't remember the exact price of some of the items, so they're just an estimate based from the last time I bought them. The price can go up, especially those high end ones.

Hada labo ultimate whitening face wash on a white wooden plank

Hada Labo Ultimate Whitening Face Wash (Rp 30,000)
This is my go-to face wash from the drugstore. It is cheap, effective, and helps removes any excess oil on my face. I usually use it after I cleanse my face with cleansing oil.

Skin aqua sunscreen uv moisture gel on a white wood plank

Skin Aqua UV Moisture Gel SPF 30/ PA+++ (Rp 40,000)
Another winner from the drugstore that Mr. G and I have been using since 2011, if I'm not mistaken. This lightweight, chemical sunscreen is adequate to protect us from the sun daily. It doesn't leave a white cast like most physical sunscreen.

shu uemura fresh pore clarifying gentle cleansing oil on a white wood plank

Shu Uemura Fresh Cleansing Oil (Rp 900,000)
As I have mentioned in my previous skincare routine blog post, double cleansing is a must in my routine. Even though there are many cleansing oils in the drugstore, I can't seem to get away from the lightweight consistency and non-greasy finish. The biggest bottle lasted me for a year when I used it every night for two pumps.

Retinoic acid on a white wood plank

Vitacid (Rp 23,000)
Available in most apotecary across Jakarta, this baby fights acne like you wouldn't believe it. It reduces my acne with an additional bonus of being an anti-aging cream. Turns out, retinoic acid (active ingredient in Vitacid) helps increase collagen and elastin production in the skin, making it wrinkle-free and bouncy!

Bioderma sensibio solution micelle on a white wood plank

Bioderma Sensibio H2O (Rp 180,000)
Being an avid user since 2012, I like this micelle solution as a makeup remover. I usually use this when I got home in the afternoon and wanted to take off my makeup. It removes my makeup base and lipstick easily without any irritation to my face. It's also fragrance-free!

Yves Saint Laurent Touche eclat on a white wood plank

Yves Saint Laurent Touche eclat (Rp 450,000)
I still stand by this highlighter despite the many that is popping up everywhere right now. I like that this one doesn't have chunky shimmers or glitters, but still gives a subtle 'glow' to my cheek bones. It also gives a hint of coverage, so I use it as an under eye concealer sometimes.

Revlon Colorstay Makeup for Combination/Oily Skin

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation (Rp 125,000)
Although this has only been my third bottle, I never actually finished one. It was always expired before I finished the last drop. This foundation is my skin's soul mate! It gives a matte finish, controls oil well, and doesn't oxidize throughout the day on my face. Love it!

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder on a qhite wood plank

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder ( not available offline)
Still on the 'matte' side of things, this compact powder has been my one true love in terms of mattifying my T zone. It has a great oil control, doesn't break me out, and doesn't look cakey even if I put on too much.

Etude House Drawing Eyebrow on a white wood plank

Etude House Drawing Eyebrow (Rp 35,000)
I bought a lot of backup when they're on sale at Gmarket. They have a variety of shades, but my favorite is the light grey shade. It comes with a brush on the end, making it perfect for travelling.

Pantene Aqua Pure on a white wood plank

Pantene Lively Clean (now Aqua Pure)
A silicone-free shampoo that keeps my hair clean and limp-free after 24 hours. However, people who started using this daily may experience rough hair because of all the silicones being washed off. Aside from that, I think their name is now changed to Pantene Aqua Pure.

*phew*

That was a long post, wasn't it? I hope you stuck to the end reading it.  Do let me know what your all time favorite beauty products are in the comments below. Thanks for reading, and until then, I'll see you later~

    1. Hi, Imelda.

Betul, dipakainya waktu malam saja. ^_^
