5 Beauty Habits for the Summer

Thursday, July 03, 2014

Hello, lovelies~ In a place where it's (nearly) always summer time, we need to take extra good care of our skin, so the sun's rays would have no chance in damaging it. As we've only stepped out from the rainy season, here are a few things that I changed for my beauty habits.

1) Wearing a body lotion with sunscreen in it

I don't have to repeat myself like a broken recorder on how damaging those UVA & UVB rays are, so it's always handy to have sunscreen for your body.

2) Using a night cream with exfoliating poperties

After a day out in the sun, there a piles of dead skin cells on the outermost layer of the skin. To thoroughly remove them, I usually opt for chemical exfoliators that can go deep into the pores, like BHA or retinoic acid. My favorite? Retinoic acid, of course!

3) Choosing lighter foundation

Not the shade, obviously. The consistency. BB creams will be a close friend during these hot, sunny days for me. Cushion makeup are also competing for my love, too.

4) Sunscreen on my lips

This is crucial to avoid those dark lips appearance. Sadly, I ran out of my sunscreen, so I use lip gloss to reflect some of those UV rays off my lips.

5) Fresh, floral, summery fragrance!

My last beauty habit is changing my perfume to a lighter and more floral scent. I like to think that they made me feel like I was on a field of flowers.

Let me know what your favorite summer products are in the comments below, ya~ I would love to know new products since I am a product junkie, lol. Anyway, what has the weather been like from where you're from? Until then, I'll see you later~
