Review and Swatch Maybelline Color ShowMonday, May 12, 2014
“Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money. I am neither affiliated with this company nor am I being paid to write this post. My opinions are honest and my own.”
Hello, lovelies~ I have a confession to make. I need to stop buying lipsticks because I have tons of them in my closet, but I'm not even close to finishing one.
Right. I'll continue this post by reviewing the latest collection from Maybelline, which you all are probably aware by now. It's the Color Show collection that comprises of lipsticks, nail polishes, and eyeliners. I only got their lipsticks because I rarely use the other two. So, let's just start the review~
Retails at Rp 30,000, this lipstick is encased in a glossy black packaging with a semi transparent strip of color that represent the color family in the collection. The ones I bought has a pink, orange, and purple strips in the middle of the casing. It certainly doesn't look cheap or tacky for an affordable lipstick.
The bullet itself looks like any other regular lipstick. I find no problems in the twisting mechanism, so that's a relief. There's nothing I hate more than twisting mechanism in lipsticks that doesn't work. You know, the one that won't go down once you twisted it all the way up?
The pigmentation in these lipsticks doesn't disappoint as it shows the true color within one swipe on my lips. It feels moist on my lips and doesn't dry it out too severely. You can see how it looks like on my lips on the pictures above. My favorite for everyday is Pinkalicious, while Plum-tastic is for a night out.
Have you tried any of the Maybelline Color Show products? Let me know in the comments below what you have tried or what you want to try. Until then, I'll see you later~
