Hello, lovelies~ How are you all doing on this rainy Monday? I wish everyone a great day ahead, without any hassle whatsoever. ^_^

Today, I will be reviewing one of my favorite beauty product, the concealer. Great for disguising any imperfections on my face, I (sometimes) use this for days when I don't feel like wearing too much makeup. Let's take a look at this concealer from Revlon today, shall we?
I thought it was you, son! :(

I bought it at Watsons when I was in Singapore last month and there's a funny story behind this. I thought this was the blemish concealer that I bought a couple of years ago. When I got home to read it, it was just the colorstay concealer, lol. Excuse the outdated and poor picture quality, but that is the only one I have before it was discontinued.

Bearing the same packaging as its predecessor, the Colorstay Concealer has a few shades to choose from and I choose my usual Light/Medium shade. It is a liquid concealer that has a doe foot applicator on the end to make it easier when applying the concealer.

The shade light/medium has been my pick from Revlon's shade of concealer. It has the right amount of yellow and beige combination, so it won't look too yellow on my skin. It actually matches my skin tone quite perfectly!

I blend it with a Beauty Blender. Please excuse my unruly hair on the right.

The concealer is able to cover most of the acne scars present on my right cheek within one layer, along with the redness surrounding it. I also find that it conceals my under eye circle, even though it may be better to color correct it beforehand.

I usually set it with powder after concealing to make sure that it's not going anywhere. It bugs me when a concealer goes away after an hour of application, what's the point of that, then? I find this concealer stays for quite some time before fading into oblivion and making my imperfections visible again.

Overall, what I thought would be a regretful purchase turns out to be a future repurchase. The concealer blends easily and stays put a little longer compared to other concealers on my face. It is hard to repurchase in Indonesia, but hopefully it will be sold here so I won't have to go to Singapore should mine run out. Or.. that's not actually a bad idea, going to Singapore, lol.

Let me know in the comments if some of you have tried this concealer and how it works for your skin type. If you haven't tried it out, let me know what is your most favorite concealer, so I can browse through it and try out a new one. Until then, I'll see you later~ ^_^

  1. Well written review you got here, help a lot for guiding me in the journey searching the HG concealer. haha! Quite impressed with this review of Revlon concealer. Kindly point out this concealer significant difference with the Maybelline one (this one : http://www.diaryofaproductjunkie.com/2012/03/review-maybelline-clear-smooth-minerals.html ), that would be helpful. Anddd, have you tried MAC concealer ? I thought it was great reviewed as well :)
