Hello, lovelies~ Lip balm is one of the things in my skincare that I need to repurchase often because it runs out most of the time. I do work in an air-conditioned environment most of the time, so my lips are usually chapped and dry at the end of the day. Hence, the need of lip balms in my life is oh-so-very important.
Anyway, I usually stick with drugstore lip balms, but I came across the Elizabeth Arden lip balm while I was in Singapore a while back. Seeing it was SGD $10, I bought it to try out since we were about to leave for Jakarta and I forgot to put my lip balm in my bag. Yeah, I placed it in my luggage, lol.
Moving on. The lip balm is packaged in a tin casing that has a twist off closure. Not the easiest when it comes to closing the product since I have to align it correctly before twisting it to a close. Meh, I can deal with it, I guess. They have it in stick form too, if you're wondering.
First things first, it does not stay on my lip for 8 hours, let's just get that out of the way. However, for the time that it lasted on my lips, it is very moisturizing that my chapped lips are treated with this. It has a strong herbal scent, but I'm used to it now. I think it's kinda like lavender?
The balm is almost similar to the consistency of Vaseline, but this coats my lips and gives it moisture. It applies clear even thought it may look slightly light brown in the tin. This is more of a thicker lip balm, just the way I like it.
Overall, I am pleased with this lip balm, despite its claim to stay on the lips for eight straight hours. The moisture it gives is just right and treats those annoying, flaky lips during the colder months. If you have dry, chapped lips, do give this a try~
