Essence Longlasting Lipstick Review

“Disclosure: I bought this product with my own money. I am neither affiliated with this company nor am I being paid to write this post. My opinions are honest and my own.” Complete disclosure here

Hello, lovelies~ Have you heard of a beauty brand called Essence? I got a chance to buy some of their products when I was having a weekend getaway to Singapore. There is a small section of Essence at Watsons, so I spent quite some time choosing which items to take home with me.

Today, let's just talk about the lipstick first, shall we? The simple black lipstick case that is laced with a stripe of the shade inside makes it look 'expensive' when in actuality it is anything but that. The embossed 'e' logo on the lipstick adds just a touch of class.

It has ten shades in the Longlasting lipstick collection, varying from brights to nudes. 'Natural Beauty' is the shade I bought because I needed one that is work friendly. What caught my attention was the rosy nude color that I picture would be suitable for my lips.

The color belongs in the category 'My Lips But Better', doesn't it? It looks super natural that it almost acts like a lip concealer, enhacing my lip color and hiding all of my pigmentation. Please excuse my bare face, it's just so hot the day I took this picture that I can't be bother to use foundation or concealer.

I expected a more drying feel to a longlasting lipstick since it would pack more pigment and less moisturizing ingredients. However, it is one of the most moisturizing lipstick I have in my entire collection. Like most lipsticks, I would need to reapply it during the day, but hey, that's not a problem~

Overall, I find the longevity of the lipstick is not as astounding as other longlasting-type lipsticks out there. However, I am so much in love with both the color and the moisturizing feel of it. It is one of a must-have item from Essence, I feel. What are you faves from Essence? Let me know in the comment below and until then, I'll see you later~
