Dine With Me: Menya Musashi Takatora Ramen

Hello, lovelies~ Rainy days are often associated with soups to warm the body. In this case, I associate it with ramen! When I was in Singapore a few weeks ago, I tried out a new ramen place in Bugis Junction with a friend, but later came back with my brother and Mr. G. So, you can probably tell already that I like the ramen that I came twice to their shop.

During my first visit with my friend, we both didn't know the name of the shop even after we finished eating there. Turns out the shop's name is Menya Musashi Takatora. I don't know if they are related with the Menya Musashi Ramen in Orchard, anyone?

Since I didn't fully capture the food during my first visit, let me share with you my experience during the second visit with my brother and Mr. G, okay? Both Mr. G and I ordered the Lunch Ramen, some kind of promotion they have until 3 p.m. We arrived there are 2.30-ish, so I was glad I can still order the promotion menu. *jumps happily*
Lunch Ramen with a to die for roast pork slice ^_^

Regular White Ramen something ^^;;

The Lunch Ramen promotion costs SGD $13.90 (If I'm not mistaken, ya) each, consisted of a bowl of medium-sized (not sure) ramen along with a side dish. I chose gyoza and Mr. G opted for chicken karaage. My brother ordered the regular White Ramen something, I honestly forgot the names already. Sowwie~

They have three kinds of broths; original, spicy and . All of use went with the Original broth, which is a tonkotsu-type broth, with their own twist, of course. It was light and flavorful that I downed the broth like no tomorrow.
The noodles are small and thin, resembling Chinese la mian, but not as thin. It tasted really delicious with the broth as it compliments the savory broth. Another strong point of this dish is the roasted pork slice which is very aromatic and succulent. I just wish they have this as an additional side dish (do they?).

I am hooked on this ramen and will be paying them another visit when I'm in Singapore. Plus, I get to go to Bugis, so that's like killing two birds with one stone, right? Until then, I'll see you later~
