Hello, lovelies~ Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation has finally reached Indonesia! Yeay? I know it's been out in the States for a long time, but at least they've reached our shore, Indonesian shore to be exact. I'm sure if you followed my instagram, you would have already known by now. Anyway, I bought mine in Singapore about a month ago, which I featured in this haul post, and now I'm gonna let you know what I think about it.
The foundation comes in a glass jar packaging that has a twist off cap. I don't know if it's gonna break if I drop it, but I think it will, lol. Not gonna try it for sure! It's not really travel friendly since the jar is quite bulky and can take up some space.
Moving on to the ingredients that are listed below the jar, the first one I noticed is that this foundation loaded with silicones. For preservatives, it uses phenoxyethanol and parabens.
As for the texture, the name says it all. It is similar to a chocolate mousse that has a light and airy feel when you touch it. I love applying this foundation with my fingers, instead of a brush because it blends more evenly all over the skin.
After seeing the exciting and out of the ordinary texture, it's time to try it on my very oily face. Since it does have the word matte, I am sold. Yeah, it's that fast, lol. I bought the foundation in the shade Light Nude, which matches my skin tone perfectly. That rarely happens you know.
As for the coverage, this airy foundation gives a medium coverage that is able to even out my skin tone and cover some of my blemishes. The finish is true to its name, which is a matte finish that is suitable for my very oily skin.
However, it tends to sink into fine lines or any dry, flaky skin on the face, so people with dry skin may want to stay away from this. I have an acne that is in its recovery period and this foundation dries it out severely. So, once again, FOR PEOPLE WITH DRY SKIN OR COMBINATION SKIN THAT HAS THOSE DRY PATCHES, DO NOT USE THIS FOUNDATION UNLESS YOU WANT A FLAKY MESS ON YOUR FACE.

Moving on, let's talk about the oil control of this foundation. Used alone, without any setting powder afterwards or primer beforehand, it manages to keep my face shine free for three whole hours. Even then, it only starts to look a bit 'dewy', instead of being greasy all over. I love the oil control! Keep in mind though that my face is very oily, just for reference.
Overall, this may be one of my HG foundation from Maybelline because of its remarkable oil control. Even though it stains my fingers when applying the foundation, it tends to look a little cakey and uneven when I use a flat top brush.
