shu uemura POREraser UV Under Base Mousse

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Hello, lovelies~ A few weeks ago, I received a product from shu uemura Indonesia to try out called POREraser UV Under Base Mousse. This is similar to their previous mousse under base, but this promises to erase the appearance of pores, hence the name POREraser.

White sleek pump bottle

The product is packaged in a white pump bottle complete with a transparent cap to protect the pump dispenser. The bottle has 50 grams of product inside it.

The cap is easy to press, but you do have to remember to shake it before dispensing it out of the bottle.

Ingredients in Japanese, but...

The ingredients is placed on the bottle's cap in a form of a white sticker. It's in Japanese, but I tried reading the katakana and found that it has ethanol and talc quite high up the list. It also contains silica, so those sensitive towards it may want to be cautious.

A bit scared of the alcohol, but since I didn't use it everyday, it didn't pose any effects on my skin.

Fuwa fuwa! (Fluffy in Japanese)

The texture of this base is in a form of a mousse. You know almost similar to those texture when you whip egg whites into a fluffy texture.

There are two shades in this collection, beige and pink. I got mine in beige. It's easy to apply it on my face with either my fingers or a sponge, but I prefer cosmetic sponges. Here is the right way to apply this under base mousse, taken from shu's website.

Science behind POREraser

What is the science behind it? Well, here is the technology that helps to minimize the appearance of pores, creating an almost flawless complexion.

Result?

After applying the product, I notice an instant brightening to my face. Not only that, the redness and blotchiness of my skin is evened out.

Another thing to note is the acne scars on my nose, which is slightly concealed. Also, the pores on my cheeks looks minimized with just a layer of this mousse.

Feels as light as it looks

The mousse spreads easily on my face, making it easy to blend. I like the lightweight feeling after I finished applying it to my face. It leaves a matte finish on my face without any stickiness whatsoever. Also, I don't need a lot of product on my face to achieve that smooth complexion.

Oh! I use fingers to blend it all in, but sometimes I use a sponge.

Base and SPF

It is loaded with SPF 35/PA +++, which will protect my face from both UVA and UVB. The POREraser uses chemical sunscreen, so you won't have a very noticeable white cast if you take pictures with flash.

Conclusion?

If you have dull skin with noticeably large pores, you may want to give this a try. It gives a matte finish that lasts around 3 hours on my face before it gets oily. Since it's lightweight, it's suitable for everyday use with the added sun protection. All I did was applied loose powder afterwards to set the base.

I didn't really like the alcohol content, but I haven't had any problems with it. Thankfully. So, have you tried this base? What do you think of it? Leave me a comment down below and until then, I'll see you later~
