Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Pore Primer Essence Review

Hello, lovelies~ I have a primer review for you today, yeaaaay~ I've had this since February or January, I think, but I forgot to post a review on it. I bought this when Etude House had a 100% cash back promotion which is around January of Feb.

Sorry for the inconsistencies of my posts, I've had a few things going on in my life right now and I've just been overwhelmed by it. Not gonna talk so much about it, so here is the review.

Mint colored squeeze tube

The primer came in a separate box that has a well thought of design. It's anything but plain! The box is light blue colored with a silhoutte profile of a girl with poreless complexion (or so it seems).

Out of the box, the primer is packaged in the same color theme as the box. I find that the color is cute on its own because it's more like a pastel blue-green. I always love looking at those color family.

Another dimethicone based primer

This primer has a silicone feel to it since it is a dimethicone based primer. So, those who are sensitive towards that ingredient, please always, always do a patch test before using it on your face. ^_^

Slightly moisturizing

In my mind, I thought this was going to be a dupe for Benefit's POREfessional primer. However, I was wrong. Right after it came out of the tube, I feel that this is more 'wet' or moisturizing compared to Benefit's. It takes quite some time to dry completely, so I have to wait for about 2-3 minutes before applying my foundation.

Swatch it on my face!

It claims to conceal big pores on the face and improve makeup coverage. The illustrations showed that it will create a smooth surface area to apply foundation/BB cream because the pores are 'filled' with this primer.

Blending the primer on my face is not a difficult task because it just spreads like butter on bread. Heck, even easier than spreading butter on bread! All thanks to the dimethicone inside the primer!

As seen in the pictures below, my pores are HUGE compared to those with dry skin type. Partially because I have genetically large pores, nothing I can do about that!

After spreading and patting the primer on my cheeks and nose, you can see that my pores are still visible. However, I find that with primers, I blend my foundation a lot easier and evenly. It also gives a matte finish to my face, eliminating the shine temporarily.

Doesn't have a good oil control

I think this may be suitable for those with people with normal to dry skin skin it doesn't quite work for my very oily skin. Since it is slightly moisturizing , the oil control on my skin type is not so good. I feel that if I use it alone without any setting spray afterwards, my T zone will start getting oily right after 2 hours.

Although it has promising claim to mask pores and subdue sebum and whatnot, I just find that this product doesn't work on my very oily skin type. Once my oils are out, then it's most likely 'Bye-bye makeup!'.

However, it does make my foundation application a lot easier and smoother, but I would maybe recommend it for those who are looking for a moisturizing primer.
