Review Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner

Hello, lovelies~ Have you heard about the Kiss Me Heroine brand? A brand from Japan that has a pretty comic-type girl on the front of the plastic packaging. They really put so much effort in designing the label and the plastic packaging. See how some of the parts of the plastic are bulging out (on the heroine make label). Also, there is a hole on the top, so it can be hanged, but on the bottom there is an extra plastic, so it can be displayed upright too. Whoever designed the packaging, salute to you!

On the contrary, the eyeliner packaging is just ordinary, but I don't mind. The eyeliner resembles a pen that has a purple casing and the label embedded on it. I like putting this in my makeup bag since it is thin and travel-friendly. The risk of it spilling everywhere is little to none.

The tip of this eyeliner is 0.1 mm thin, according to the package. I can draw thin lines easily, but thick lines can also achieved with this effortlessly. Here is the swatch on the back of my hand and my eye.

I noticed that this eyeliner is smudge proof, even when used on my eyes. However, since I do have oily eyelids, it slightly fades at the end of the day. It's not severely faded that I can't see it anymore, it just looks uneven. I didn't manage to take a picture of it on my eyes, but if I do in the future, I'll update it here.

I tested the waterproof aspect of this eyeliner and it passed. Most of the felt tip eyeliner I bought are waterproof, so no problems there. I placed the back of my hand under running water and the line is as thick as before, so long as I don't rub it.

Now, onto the real test, the reason behind my purchase of this eyeliner, the tear proof test. I bought this solely because it claimed to be tear proof. So far, no eyeliner (that I've bought) have passed this test. Sadly, this one didn't pass the test either. I applied it on my eyes and started crying.

As you can see in the pictures below, the eyeliner started to break down, flake and resulted in a huge mess on my left eye.

In conclusion, I was a tad disappointed that it isn't tear proof, but then again, no eyeliner has EVER stood a chance against my tears, so that's fine. It's still a good eyeliner to have because of the fine tip and easy application to my eyes. As with most felt tip eyeliners, the finish tend to be a glossy black.

I forgot the exact price of this eyeliner, but I think it was around SGD $30-ish? So, I'd say that this eyeliner is on par with its competitor (Dolly Wink and K-Palette), but I really expected it to be tear proof. Thus, this is not on my repurchase list should mine run out.
