Breast Cancer 101: Signs and Symptoms

Hello, lovelies~ Today, I wanted to continue the series of 'Breast Cancer 101' and talk about the signs and symptoms that usually occur when someone has breast cancer. With this post, I hope everyone out there will pay more attention to their health and go see their doctor should they encounter one or more of these symptoms. So, let's start!

The common symptoms of breast cancer are:
  • a lump on either breasts that persists even after the menstruation cycle is over
  • a lump or swelling on the armpits
  • Changes in breast shape
  • Dimpling on the surface the breast skin (like an orange's skin)
  • Discharge (or fluid) coming out of the nipple
  • Pain on either breast not related to menstruation
For better understanding of each of the symptoms, you can refer to the picture down below. These are taken from

So, I hope this post gives a better understanding on how the symptoms of breast cancer would be like. It can start from a very small lump and develops into a worse condition. I hope everybody checks their breasts at least once every month for lumps. I'll see you later~ ^_^
