Review: Soap and Glory Hand Food Hand Cream

Tuesday, July 24, 2012

Hello, lovelies~ Today, I am feeling a little down, but as always, that never stopped me from posting before. So, if you guys follow me on twitter (@phanie14), you'll probably know that I went to Singapore to attend my brother's graduation ceremony. I bought a couple of things while I was there since I went to Sephora, Daiso, LUSH, etc. I'll start with a body care product that I have been wanting to try out. It's from Soap and Glory.

This hand cream is packaged in a squeeze tube with a very girly color, which is a pink. The end of the cap is a flip top cap, a plus point for me as it reduces the chances of losing the cap. It comes in two sizes, a larger one ( 120 ml) and a smaller one (50 ml). I bought the small size so that it'll be easy to pack.

The ingredients to the hand cream is mainly Shea Butter and Grape Seed Oil. It still uses parabens, so those looking for a green beauty product should skip this one.

The product is a white cream that is thick, but gets absorbed really fast to my hands. I tried counting how many seconds it takes to sink in and it only took around 10 seconds. The end result is soft hands without the sticky or greasy finish. It is able to retain the moisture for around 2-3 hours, I'd say. The scent is sweet, candy-like scent which makes me feel like I'm walking in a candy store.

Overall, I really like this hand cream mainly due to its fast absorption time and the non-greasy and non-sticky finish. I can immediately use a pen without having oils all over it. However, as with all product, there is bound to be a downfall. This product still uses parabens as the preservatives. Also, it is not available in my country, so I have to order it online. The scent will start to fade within the first hour of using. So, is it worth shelling out SGD $7 out of my wallet? Yep, thank God for its rapid absorption and greaseless finish.
