Review: L'Occitane Lip Balm

Hello, lovelies~ Lately, I have been mentally preoccupied with certain things that I can’t even come up with beauty tips (which I love writing about). So, while I’m waiting for my brain to clear the clutter, let’s just start with product reviews. Today, I wanted to review a product from one of my favorite brand that I liked recently, which is L’Occitane Lip Balm.

The packaging of the lip balm itself is a light green squeeze tube with a slanted applicator at the end. It has an EcoCert label, which means that the ingredients used in the products are all organic. The size of the product is 15 ml or 0.5 oz. This is practical to be placed in almost any makeup bag because of the compact size.

The main moisturizing ingredient in this lip balm is Shea Butter, Olive Oil and Beeswax. It doesn’t contain any parabens, which is what I’ve been looking for recently in my beauty products.

The lip balm is in a liquid form that is thick, almost like a gel-like consistency. Once applied on my lips, it doesn’t feel sticky. I like the way it made my lips soft and moisturized, without having that stickiness sensation. However, it does make my lips look shiny afterwards, which is something I dislike. It’s like I just ate a bowl of deep fried dish and the oils are left behind on my lips, waiting to be wiped off with a sheet of tissue. I like the way that the product gets seeped into the lips, rather than just coating my lips, like the NIVEA essentials. If my lips are very dry, I would usually combine this lip balm and then coat it with petroleum jelly to prevent the moisture from escaping.

Overall, I didn’t regret purchasing this lip balm at Rp 115,000* because the moisturization level is just right for me. Even though it may look ‘oily’ on my lips, but it’s nothing I can’t handle. Plus, no parabens in this product, so that’s another point added.

* I forgot the exact price, but I guess-timate it would be around that price point.

P.S: I'm sorry for not updating my blog frequently lately. I've been having more frequent vertigo episodes.
