Nichijou: Restaurants and The Premiere

Monday, April 09, 2012

Hello, lovelies~ How's your Easter or long weekend? I hope it was a great one because it sure was for me. Mr. G came home for Easter and I'm super excited. We had a fun week of shopping, dining and watching movies.
Once in a blue moon FOTD.
Skin Aqua UV Mild Milk Sunscreen and Nivea Essentials Lip Balm.
*boooring~*
We watched The Hunger Games, Wrath of The Titans in 3D and Act of Valor, not at the same day, obviously. I really enjoyed all three, but a little disappointed on The Hunger Games. Just let me make one rant about it. Puh-leaseee~

*Rant: I wished the scene where Katniss and Peeta was wearing the fire cape was a little longer and more specific. I kinda wanted it to be magnificent and breath-taking, but it really was just quick and forgettable. I've already imagined how scared Katniss is before the horses rode off and Peeta holding her hand to calm her nerves down. The cape was then lit with artificial fire by Cinna and Portia before the carriage exits, glowing fiercely and beautifully. At least that's how I imagined it would be in the movie when I read the book. However, that scene is just quick, forgettable and disappointing.*

Anyway, we spend the week trying out new restaurants, hence the fattening you'll notice in my pictures. We went to Bumbu Moyang at Pantai Indah Kapuk which has a homemade Indonesian style cuisine.

Also, the restaurant near my house, the infamous Sunda Kelapa which has seafood. Well, those are the only ones that are new in our list.

On Saturday, we went to see Act Of Valor at Gading XXI The Premiere. I thought it would be a good idea to spoil ourselves and just enjoy the day. We really enjoyed the sofa and the blankets~ Oh, the movie was entertaining as well considering that it is based on a true story or mission and all the actors in the movie are all US Navy Seals.

All in all, it was a fun and romantic week, until Sunday when Mr. G went back to Singkawang. Thanks for coming home, my baby bear~ Be good over there~ ^_^

P.S: I am currently addicted to this gelato on a stick. It tastes a thousand times better than Magnum~ Plus, you can choose the flavor of the gelato (vanilla, chocolate, moccha, etc) and the topping (almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, dark chocolate fudge, etc) too!
