Phanie's Prized Products : October 2011 edition

Friday, November 04, 2011

After an 'improper' monthly faves post last month, I finally have enough products to show you this month. I will be including a section of my 'dislikes' during October. Let's just start off with the happy things, which are the favorites.

Sorry for posting this so late. >.<

Etude House Be Clear Moisturizer SPF 30/PA++

Currently, this is my moisturizer + sunscreen and I have been loving it all through the month of October. I like how it doesn't exaggerate the dry areas around the edges of my nose and mouth. Also, it brightens my complexion, so I look more 'awake' and fresh in the morning.

Hadalabo Japan Shirojyun Deep Whitening Lotion

I have only been using this at the middle of the October, but I already like it. The consistency is runny, but slightly thicker than water. It works perfectly as a toner because it slightly moisturizes my face and preps it before I apply sunscreen.

AHA 8% Cream

I bought this from a distributor about 2-3 weeks ago, used it and liked it. It's a cream that contains 8% AHA which is good for those with sun-damaged skin because it peels away the top layer of that dead skin cells. My skintone and complexion looks brighter in the morning after using it for around 1-2 weeks.

Ginvera Green Tea and Pomelo Shampoo

I bought this two months ago in the big packaging with the pump. I like the fresh smell of tea and pomelo (it's Jeruk Bali, cyiinn~). Also, I feel that it really deep cleanses my scalp and doesn't weigh my hair down afterwards.

Dove Daily Shine Conditioner

This has been an old favorite, but I keep forgetting to include it every time. It has a lightweight feeling to it and restores the silkiness of my hair after washing it with shampoo.

Etude House Cleansing Dream Moisture Cleansing Oil

I have been wanting to try out a cleansing oil, but always too afraid that it'll break me out. I finally bought it a few weeks ago, tried it and refused to use other makeup removers. I like the feeling of cleansing my face with oil because it feel super, duper, ultra clean, but I don't feel tight or greasy afterwards.

Nivea Soft

I stumbled on this item during my trip to Malang a few weeks ago. I like using this on my hands, arms and legs because it feels moisturizing, not greasy and not sticky. Plus, it's a cheap cream! Can never go wrong with that~

Skin Food Good Afternoon Apple Cinnamon Tea BB Cream

This can easily be the first BB cream from Skin Food that I truly love. It feels light, the color matches my skin tone, it brightens my complexion and has a medium coverage. Love, love this!

3M Eye Sense Eyelid Tape

I haven't been using eyelid tape for the longest time because I was simply too lazy to apply them. I bought this a couple of weeks ago at Tammia while strolling around at Emporium Pluit Mall with Mr. G (my bf). I like how it applies easily on my eyelid on the first try. Heck, I can't believe I haven't tried this brand before. It lasts all day on my eyes, given that I don't rub them.

Compressed Face Mask Tablets

I am recently liking face mask, but the tablet ones. I can make my own essence and so far I have used green tea (oil control) and oatmeal liquid (moisturizing). I wanted to try strawberries and tomato juice because of the high antioxidant content. I bought these on eBay  for SGD 22 and I get 200 face masks.

Now for the items that I dislike last month.

xX..Kracie Ichikami Shampoo..Xx
I know that I included this in my previous monthly faves, but the more I used it the more I dislike it. It feels that my hair is more coarse with each use of this shampoo. I tried fixing it with a conditioner, but somehow it still feels coarse.

xX..Kracie Hadabisei Brightening Facial Mask..Xx
I bought these masks at Farmer's Market at Kelapa Gading. After using this for 10-15 minutes, I noticed two acne popping out of nowhere on my chin and two on my forehead. Even Mr. G is shocked to see those unfriendly visitors on my face. Granted, he laughed first upon seeing those annoying bumps. I'm now too scared to try this again.

xX..Ponds White Beauty Naturals Day Cream..Xx
I like the feeling when it was applied since it does give a semi-matte look and feel, but 30 minutes afterwards, my T-zone get oilier and the edge of my nose itches. I was afraid that I might be allergic to it, but turns out that the itch is just an acne. Sorry. Just an acne??? ............. *faints*

xX..Maybelline Long Extreme Double Stretch Mascara..Xx
The only problem I have with this mascara is that it doesn't hold my curl. Probably because my eyelashes are thin, short and straight as a stick. The formula of this mascara is more to the wet side, compared to Magnum (yellow tube).
