Review: Skin Aqua UV Mild Milk SPF 25/PA ++

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

I don't want to jinx it, but I may have found my holy grail sunscreen from Skin Aqua. I know that I used to swear by Neutrogena's dry touch ultra sheer sunscreen, but lately it has been stinging my face after application. Also, it's not easy to get it here in Jakarta without ordering it online.

If you've read my previous post about the sunscreen findings at Watsons, you'll know that I'm super excited that I found an affordable drugstore sunscreen. I've used it for a month and thought I'll review it now.

Skin Aqua UV Mild Milk SPF 25/PA ++
Sorry for the bad photo editing. I'm new to photoshop. >.<
Ingredients
A chemical sunscreen without any colorants or fragrances. ^^

How I Use It
I apply a 2 cm diameter all over my face.
Yeah, I need more tips and tricks with photoshop. Anyone? ^^

What I Like About It
  • It's readily available at Watsons, retailing at IDR 47,500 (discount price) or IDR 52,000 (normal price)
  • It's quite affordable at IDR 52,000 for 80 grams of product
  • The packaging is efficient with a twist top and a small opening, making it easy to dispense the product
  • The texture is not too heavy on the face. A mixture between cream and lotion
  • It feels really lightweight on my face
  • It has no fragrance and colorants, which is AWESOME!
  • I didn't break out at all with this sunscreen
  • It has a slight matte finish on my combination skin
  • The sun protection is adequate for everyday routine. Besides, you still have to apply sunscreen every 2 hours.
What I Hate About It
  • It only comes in 1 size, which is 80 grams. This makes it bulky when I put it in my handbag
Summary
I am really falling in love with this sunscreen. I love how it's cheap, readily available, good sun protection and leaves me with a non-greasy texture. It also has a gel formula for those with oily skin types.

  1. Ooh, a gel formula - I will definitely hunt it down, as my skin cannot handle sunscreen lotions ^_^;;;

  6. Chino, I've tried all of them, but my favorite has to be the whitening milk just because it's the most moisturizing one and the second fave is the highest SPF because it has SPF 50 and doesn't leave a white cast.

I only used the UV Mild when my skin is behaving badly. ^^
