Weekly Product Review: The Body Shop Aloe Lip Treatment

Hi there, all you lip balm-loving people!

Remember the huge TBS sale that I posted the other day? Well, one of the items that I got was a lip balm from the Aloe line. I never paid much attention to this line because I was always picking the Tea Tree Oil line, since my skin type is an oily one. However, I was glad that I did pick up some items from the Aloe line, namely the lipbalm and the toner. Let's start.

The Body Shop
Aloe Lip Treatment

A moisturising, non-greasy lip balm to nourish and protect the delicate skin on the lips and soothe the discomfort of dry, chapped lips. With regular use, lips feel soft, soothed and well protected. Dermatologically approved and clinically proven as suitable for sensitive skin.

Ricinus Communis Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Cera Alba, Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Glycine Soja Oil, Soybean Glycerides, C18-36 Acid Triglyceride, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sesamum Indicum Oil, Ethylcellulose, Aroma, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Avena Sativa Kernel Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Bisabolol, Citral.

How I Use It
I squeeze the opened tube and apply evenly all over my lips with the slanted applicator.

What I Like About It
  1. The price is affordable (IDR 89,000) even for a 15 mL because I only need half-a pea sized amount each application
  2. It's available in almost any TBS stores in Indonesia
  3. Packaged in a simple squeeze tube, making application more hygienic because I don't have to use the tips of my fingers to apply the product
  4. The size is compact, so it's easy to carry everywhere I go
  5. The ingredients list are on the safe side
  6. It's not sticky or greasy when applied
  7. It leaves my lips soft and smooth even after the lip balm has already disappeared!
What I Hate About It
  1. Not a fan about the slanted applicator. Wish it was packed more like a chapstick
  2. Wish it has SPF 15, so I don't get lip-sun-burn
Do you like the new background? Rilakkuma rules!

  1. I love this stuff! I squeeze a tiny bit onto my finger and then apply it to my lips. I also exfoliate my lips once a week with The Body Shops lip scrub then apply the aloe lip treatment and my lips feel amazing!! I used to be prone to having bad cracked lips. Bleh. Now they feel AMAZING.
