Review: Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

A friend of mine asked me the other about makeup removers and which ones are good at it. I don't wear heavy eye makeup and even if I do, it'll just been neutral colors, instead of bright green/blue colors.  I usually just remove it with a makeup remover cloth that I buy at Watsons or the local brand Mitu that only costs IDR 3,500 (around US$ 3cents).

Since I have quite a few makeup remover, I'm thinking of doing a series of it. So, just click the label 'Makeup Remover' on the right and it'll take you to a list of makeup removers that I have tried using.

Ingredients

I like how it contains Aloe and it's the third ingredient on the list!

How I Use It
I pour it on a cotton pad and press gently on my CLOSED eyelid for about 30 seconds. Swipe gently to remove any residual makeup. I use the rest of the cotton pad on my face.

What I Like About It
  • It's readily available in a supermarket near me (Rezeki Supermarket)
  • It doesn't cost a fortune. I paid IDR 96,500 for 162 mL bottle.
  • It has a layer of oil-like liquid and water. You have to shake it to incorporate the two, it's fun!
  • A little amount does the job excellently.
  • Takes off waterproof mascara easily
  • Sometimes when I feel a greasy finish, I just rinse or clean with a facial wipe to reveal clean, fresh face
  • It doesn't have a distinct scent

What I Hate About It
  • The twist cap annoys me. I wish it would be a flip cap
  • Not suitable for travelling due to its large size
