Product Review: Himalaya Herbals Neem Foaming Face Wash

Good afternoon to all and to all a good afternoon. I'm just messing with you. Anyway, guess what I'm doing right now? I am typing a post accompanied by Andy McKee's When She Cries and a Sandalwood aromatherapy fragrance.

That quite sets my mood to write a blog post. Today, I will be reviewing a product that I have been using for a while now that I've actually reached half a bottle. So, here goes.

Himalaya Herbals
Neem Foaming Face Wash

Neem Foaming Face Wash spreads smoothly over your face to refresh and deep cleanse. Its light, airy foam removes excess oil and impurities without over-drying the skin. Azadirachta indica (Neem), known for its anti-bacterial properties combined with Curcuma longa (Turmeric), effectively controls acne and pimples.

I double checked the ingredients before I purchased it and it was A-OK!

How I use this product
It's pretty self-explanatory, really. Just pump, massage over my face for a couple of seconds and rinse.

What I like about it

  • It's affordable. I mean, 150 ml for IDR 80,000?
  • Comes out in foam form once pumped from the container. Great for those "rushed" mornings.
  • Has a hint of herbal scent that's soothing to me
  • Leaves my face soft and smooth
  • Doesn't break me out! Great replacement for my tea tree oil facial wash because turns out I'm now sensitive to TTO.
  • Doesn't leave a greasy film behind
  • Doesn't dry out my face
  • Cleans all the excess oil and debris sitting on top of my face. I tried using a makeup remover afterwards to see the level of cleanliness this product might give and I ended up with clean cotton pads!
  • A little goes a long way. I only need a half to one pump for each application

What I don't like about it
  • Sometimes the pump gets stuck and it becomes hard to push down
  • Complicated to bring for travel since there are no travel-size
  • Can't remove makeup
  • Sometimes when my face is dry because of the tretinoin, I can't use this because it'll dry my face out even more. So, I only use this on my oily face.
  • Contains colorants for the green color.
Overall, I really like this facial wash because I don't need to lather it prior to using.

Also, it's a great replacement for my TBS Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash, which I think is shitty, because I have now developed a sensitivity towards TTO. Oh well, I'm better off using this anyway because I'm having my period now, but I have a clear face from acne. Himalaya Herbals, I've underestimated you and I apologize for that.
