[HAUL] Pure Milk and Supermarket buy

Hello, hello, hello. As I'm writing this, I'm sitting snuggly on my bed, watching Escape to River Cottage and admiring Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. He's my new role model in the kitchen and in life, that being someone who's not afraid to take chances.

Watch his show "Escape to River Cottage". Really inspiring.

Enough with the chit chats, I bought two T-shirts today because they are just too cute! Besides, it's been awhile since I bought myself clothes. The brand is called Pure Milk or PMK in short. When  I last went to Singapore, I bought a few T-Shirts from this brand was quite pleased with the texture of the shirt. It was soft and quite durable. Not to mention, the designs are very cute and gorgeous! Well, that IS the main reason why I bought the shirt.

Even the plastic bag is adorable. Gosh, I need help.

These are the contents. A "maneki neko" and a lab set that has a few expressions. Love love love!

I think this clothing line and Toki Doki is really meant for me personally. A true ADD never rests until all the cute things in the world is collected! Yeah, right.

Excuse the pants, I'm getting ready for bed and was too lazy to change into a better one. Feels really cool on my body and it stretches out, which is GOOD.

This is positioned on the back upper left corner of the lab set T-shirt.

This is on the backside of the Maneki Neko T-shirt, on the upper right corner as well.

I forgot to mention that I also bought a couple of things from Carrefour the other day. I bought toners because I needed a DUPE for The Body Shop Moisture White & Clinique Clarifying Lotion #3. Not that both toners are bad, it's just too costly for toners, which isn't really that needed when you already have a good cleanser. So, I found toners from L'oreal, which hopefully will be able to sort of replace the previous toners I have mentioned.

These are what I bought from Carrefour.

I went through the ingredients and didn't find any irritants, besides it's only a toner. This claims to whiten my skin using melano block and Vitamin C. Again, I only bought this because I didn't find any alcohol aside from denatured alcohol, not because it claims to magically whiten my skin. Another reason would be that I need a gentle toner because I am using a chemical exfoliant currently.

I bought this in hopes that it could be a DUPE for my Clinique clarifying lotion. It contains salicylic acid, not sure whether it contains witch hazel like clinique, contains denatured alcohol and so far it's not drying on my skin.

While at the supermarket, thankfully, I remembered buy a chapstick. This is my holy grail chapstick because not only it's cheap, but moisturizes my lips very well. This retails at Rp 20000,- , I think.

This is an unexpected buy, honestly. I have been looking at my arms and how they differ so much with my face. I also have a "striped" appearance on my wrist because I wore a watch and go out in the sun without appropriate sunscreen. When I looked at the ingredients, I was surprised to find that it contains Titanium Dioxide which is a physical sunscreen. Retailing at only Rp 7000,-, I though why not and decided to give it a shot.

Well, that's all for my blog entry today. I've been reading a few articles over the past few days and found out that L'oreal owns The Body Shop. Can someone actually correct me if I'm wrong?

  1. OMG, if L'oreal really does own TBS, I'll LMAO, Steph! I'm not a brand-minded user, so this really comes to my wonder since they have quite major difference in quality. I've been mocking up L'oreal's products since it irritate my skin, looking with half eye open towards Garnier's, but somewhat hailing TBS' skincare regime. LOL.

Anw, love your choosing Citra ;) I've done test with Betadine using several products: Garnier night cream, Clean n Clear Fairness moisturizer, Skin79 Hotpink, my doctor's day cream; and Citra (yes, the same lotion you bought) managed to brighten Betadine's color the most ;).

The smell I love, too :D

  2. I know how you feel if L'oreal owns TBS, I sometimes like their products, but lately I found skin irritants in some of their products. I'll probably do a review on that later. However, I do read in Begoun's book that L'oreal owns "Maybelline New York, Garnier, Lancome, Helena Rubinstein, Biomedic, vichy, Bioterm, Shu Uemura, Kiehl's, Soft Sheen-Carson, Redken, MAtrix, Kerastase, Giorgio Armani, Inneov, Sanoflore, CCB Paris, Dermablend, The Body Shop, Skinceuticals, Ralph Lauren and La Roche-Posay."

That's what I copy pasted from Begoun's The original Beauty Bible. It's a really great book! You get more insights on the basics of skincare.

I also looooveee the Citra lasting white extra, it feels so smooooooth, probably the dimethicone and mica doing their job, but still!! I wished I had found this long long time agoooo~~

What is the betadine test? I've never heard of that before. =)

  3. Phanie :) thank you for this haul post. hehehe hyper is having citra discount now :), gotta go buy it after seeing this post :)
